Software Engineer - Information Security

As a Software Engineer - Information Security, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative security solutions to protect Deepwatch's cloud-based cybersecurity platform. You will work closely with our security and engineering teams to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities, implement secure coding practices, and ensure the overall security and reliability of our systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop secure software components and services to enhance the security of Deepwatch's cloud-based platform - Implement secure coding practices and ensure adherence to security standards and best practices - Collaborate with security and engineering teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities - Participate in security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments - Contribute to the development of security-focused tools and automation - Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and industry best practices Required Skills and Experience: - 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on security - Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Go - Experience in designing and developing secure, scalable, and reliable software systems - Familiarity with cloud security best practices and experience working with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - Understanding of common security vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and secure coding practices - Familiarity with security frameworks, tools, and techniques (e.g., OWASP, NIST, MITRE ATT&CK) - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically about security challenges - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with security automation and DevSecOps practices - Knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, and security operations - Familiarity with vulnerability management and security monitoring tools - Understanding of network security, cryptography, and identity and access management concepts - Experience with security research and development, including identifying and mitigating novel security threats
