Director of Product

We’re hiring a Director of Product to shape the strategy, vision, and execution of the deepset AI Platform and Haystack ecosystem. You’ll lead a cross-functional team, define product direction, and drive the development of solutions that help businesses build mission-critical, GenAI-powered applications. This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who combines product thinking, commercial insight, and technical depth in AI.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Director of Product (or similar leadership role) in a tech company
• Deep understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and their real-world applications
• Strong technical foundation—confident working with ML/AI teams and products
• Track record of building and scaling successful B2B products
• Excellent communicator, both with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Skilled in commercial strategy—pricing, growth, and positioning
• Experienced in cross-functional leadership, especially across product, design, and engineering
• Analytical mindset and a data-informed approach to decisions
• Passionate about building products that solve hard, meaningful problems

• Experience launching and scaling AI or ML-based enterprise products
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks, agents, or orchestration tools
• Strong network in the AI/ML or NLP space (for partnerships, talent, feedback)
• Experience in fundraising, investor relations, or board-level communication
