Market Strategy & Business Development Intern


DeepkinetiX is redefining the future of drug development through patient-specific digital twins and AI-driven biosimulation. We are seeking a highly motivated graduate-level intern with a strong business acumen and a keen interest in the intersection of science and market strategy with a background in Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD)—to join our team for Summer 2025.


Location: Hybrid Boston/Cambridge, MA or Remote

Duration: Summer Internship (Full-time, 10–12 weeks)

🌟 About the Role As an intern, you will be at the nexus of our scientific innovation and commercial growth, working closely with our leadership team. You will be instrumental in not only conducting customer discovery research to refine our market strategy but also in identifying and cultivating the relationships that will drive our business forward. Your scientific training will be crucial in translating complex QSP/PKPD concepts into compelling value propositions and actionable partnership opportunities.


🔍 What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and synthesize market trends, competitor landscapes, and customer personas to identify high-potential targets.
  • Identify, research, and qualify potential leads and strategic partners within the biopharmaceutical landscape.
  • Support the development and execution of outreach campaigns to initiate conversations with potential clients and partners.
  • Assist in preparing materials for partnering discussions, including slide decks, proposals, and summaries of scientific alignment.
  • Track and manage business development activities and relationships using a CRM system.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and secondary research as part of a structured customer discovery process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate industry pain points and potential use cases for QSP/PKPD solutions.
  • Present strategic findings, including new market and partnership opportunities, to the leadership team.


🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • Strong business acumen and a keen interest in the intersection of science and market strategy; current enrollment in or completion of an MBA program is a significant plus.
  • Preferred: Masters or PhD students in Systems Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in life sciences commercialization, entrepreneurship, or business development.
  • Strong interest in the intersection of science, innovation, and market strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to articulate complex scientific ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
  • Preferred: Be available to work hybrid in Boston/Cambridge for the duration of the internship.
