About the role

At Decisions, we thrive when our people thrive. We’re currently looking for an Intern to be a supportive force around our organization handling anything from larger initiatives to small project work for the Customer Success Team. This is an internship position and is required to be in the office at our Headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. This person will gain experience working in an office environment, performing Customer Success Team duties, and supporting mid-level leadership. Given the dynamic nature of the technical landscape, we rely on the Intern to be flexible and consistent while maintaining the confidentiality of high-level information and operations.

The intern in this role will play a vital part in supporting the Customer Success team and contributing to customer-related tasks at Decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience across various aspects of the organization, including administration and product development. The intern will work closely with teams to gain valuable insights and actively contribute to the company's success.

This position is on-site at our HQ in Virginia Beach, VA.

Key Objectives

Objective 1: Customer Enrichment:

  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure a deeper understanding of customer use cases, goals, and satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and document relevant information for easy access.

Objective 2: Administrative Support:

  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and project aid
  • Help with organizing and maintaining customer data in CRM tools and other tracking systems.
  • Assist with scheduling customer calls, follow-ups, and ensuring timely communication with customers.

Objective 3: Get to know Decisions:

  • Learn names and faces to establish a good relationship with the Decisions employees
  • Understand the department structure and who is on each team
  • Engage with various teams within the organization to understand workflows and processes
  • Participate in meetings to gather insights and contribute to cross-functional projects

Specialized Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program (HS or College- or recent HS graduate)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of support tasks and product development concepts
  • Proficient in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Exceptional note-taking ability with clear summaries and action items
  • Strong time-management skills and an ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems
  • Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information related to the company and its employees
