Role Description The Debate Trainer is a part-time, hybrid role based in Delhi-NCR, with a mix of on-site sessions and work-from-home responsibilities. In this role, the trainer will design and deliver debate workshops, coach students in argumentation, research, and public speaking, and facilitate practice sessions and competitions. The Debate Trainer will create lesson plans and curriculum materials aligned with program goals, adapt content for different age groups, and provide constructive feedback to help learners improve. Responsibilities also include coordinating schedules, maintaining student progress records, and contributing to the development of new debate and critical thinking modules. Payment will be on hourly or daily basis.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in debate, public speaking, and argumentation,
- Proficiency in curriculum design, lesson planning, and instructional methods that support critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of students.
- Ability to conduct research on topics, prepare debating materials, and model effective reasoning and evidence-based discussion.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including use of digital tools and online platforms for remote teaching and content creation.
