The Dean of the School of Business is the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of the School, tasked with the "re-engineering" of the institution for global market dominance. The Dean will be a visionary leader who navigates the duality of rigorous UGC compliance and the prestigious benchmarks of the world’s elite business schools. The objective is to foster an ecosystem that combats cognitive atrophy through human-intelligence augmentation and produces industry-disrupting research.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Excellence & UGC Compliance
- Ensure all programs (BBA, Masters, EMBA and PhD) meet and exceed global benchmarks.
- Oversee curriculum design that balances foundational theory with "future-of-work" competencies, ensuring academic integrity and pedagogical innovation.
- Manage faculty recruitment, ensuring a mix of world-class researchers and seasoned industry practitioners.
2. Global Accreditations & Rankings
- Spearhead the pursuit and maintenance of the "Triple Crown": AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
- Drive the school’s standing in global rankings (e.g., QS World University Rankings, Financial Times) through strategic metric management.
- Foster international dual-degree programs and strategic partnerships with Ivy League and top-tier global institutions.
3. Research & Innovation
- Cultivate a high-impact research culture according to the university goals
- Drive the school’s H-index and citation metrics, encouraging faculty to publish in ABDC 'A'* and ABS 4/4* journals.
- Promote the filing of patents and the development of proprietary technologies/methodologies within the business context.
4. Strategic Leadership & Financial Stewardship
- Develop and execute a 5-year strategic roadmap for the School of Business to achieve market-leader status.
- Manage the school’s budget with the precision of a CEO, identifying new revenue streams through executive education, consulting, and global grants.
- Lead "Endowment Building" initiatives, engaging with high-net-worth alumni and corporate partners.
5. Industry Integration & Ecosystem Building
- Expand our robust Industry Advisory Board comprising C-suite executives from Fortune 500 companies.
- Bridge the gap between academic theory and corporate application, ensuring 100% "Day-One" readiness for graduates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: An earned Ph.D. in a business-related discipline (Management, Economics, Psychology, or Data Science) from a globally recognized institution (preferably Ivy League or equivalent).
- Academic Rank: Must be eligible for the rank of Professor with a minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching/research/administration, of which at least 10 years must be at the level of Professor.
- Research Pedigree: An exceptional research record with a high H-index and consistent publications in top-tier international journals. Experience in securing large-scale research grants is highly preferred.
- Administrative Record: Proven experience in a senior leadership role (Dean, Associate Dean, or Department Head) within a top-100 global business school or a premier Indian institution.
- Accreditation Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the AACSB and EQUIS accreditation processes is mandatory.
