Dean – School of Liberal Arts
Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Liberal Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Psychology, Sociology from a recognized university.
- Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with an excellent academic record.
- Strong academic background with consistently outstanding academic performance.
- Additional certifications, interdisciplinary exposure, international academic collaborations, or significant research contributions will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in academia, research, and academic administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in leadership roles such as Professor, Head of Department, Dean, or Academic Administrator.
- Proven expertise in curriculum development, academic governance, interdisciplinary education, and accreditation processes.
- Experience with UGC regulations, NEP 2020 implementation, NAAC accreditation, and other higher education regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Strong record of publications, funded research projects, conference participation, and scholarly contributions in Liberal Arts or allied disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic, strategic, and administrative leadership to the School of Liberal Arts.
- Develop and implement innovative interdisciplinary curricula aligned with NEP 2020 and global academic standards.
- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance enhancement, and academic development initiatives.
- Promote research culture, publications, consultancy, patents, and collaborative academic projects.
- Strengthen industry, institutional, and international collaborations.
- Ensure effective student engagement, mentoring, holistic development, and academic excellence.
- Oversee accreditation, ranking, statutory compliance, and quality assurance processes.
- Foster a culture of critical thinking, creativity, ethics, inclusivity, and innovation.
Role Summary
The Dean – School of Liberal Arts will play a pivotal role in establishing the School as a center of excellence in interdisciplinary education, research, and innovation.
