Dean – School of Architecture and Planning
We are looking for a creative and qualified Person for Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at Vishwakarma University, Pune with relevant teaching, and professional experience and who is passionate about teaching and ready to develop and deliver quality content for assigned courses. We need a person ready to take the responsibilities and challenging opportunities to fully exhaust his/her knowledge and skills.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of the Dean are as follows:
1] Provide intellectual leadership to the department and give significant contribution to the field.
2] Academic teaching at UG/PG level
3] Programme and curriculum design and development
4] Academic Administration
5] Supervision and Guidance for Ph.D. Scholars, if eligible,
6] Training, consultancy and extension activity
7] Quality assurance and academic research
8] Any other work assigned by higher authority
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
As per the norms of UGC and COA,
1] A valid CoA Registration Number,
2] Bachelor‘s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B. Arch. and Master‘s Degree in Architecture or in allied subjects of Architecture with minimum 60 per cent. Marks at either level
AND
Seventeen years’ experience in teaching/ research/professional work out of which a full-time teaching experience of minimum eight years.
OR
Twenty years of professional experience.
3] Doctoral degree in Architecture and experience in Administration at a responsible position are desirable,
4] Ability to write instructional material
5] Ability of conducting interdisciplinary research
6] Excellent fluency of English and Marathi/Hindi language
7] Effective communication skills
