Job Description
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports
- Create and optimize data models, including relationships and calculated fields
- Write and optimize DAX measures and calculated columns
- Use Power Query (M language) for data transformation and cleansing
- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, Azure, etc.)
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage report access
- Ensure performance optimization of reports and datasets
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver insights
- Maintain documentation, data definitions, and best practices
- Support data refresh schedules and troubleshoot reporting issues
Responsibilities
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Proficiency in DAX and Power Query
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schema)
- Experience with SQL (queries, joins, performance tuning)
- Knowledge of ETL concepts and data transformation
- Understanding of BI best practices and visualization standards
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
- Experience with Azure services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse)
- Exposure to Power BI Service, deployment pipelines, and gateways
- Knowledge of other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik)
- Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
