JOB DESCRIPTION
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer
- Experience with Alteryx Server (deployment, scheduling, permissions)
- Advanced SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning)
- Experience with data preparation, ETL, and analytics concepts
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.)
- Good understanding of data modeling and data quality principles
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python or R integration in Alteryx
- Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with version control (Git)
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Alteryx workflows for data preparation, blending, transformation, and analytics
- Build scalable and reusable analytic applications and macros
- Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, flat files, APIs, cloud sources)
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and exception handling
- Optimize workflow performance and ensure best practices are followed
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Support deployment of workflows to Alteryx Server and manage scheduling/automation
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide operational support
- Create technical documentation and user guides
- Adhere to data governance, compliance, and security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Alteryx Certification (Core / Advanced) is a strong plus
