Job Summary
We are looking for a DCS Validation/Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) testing and validation. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of process automation and control systems and be responsible for validating DCS applications while supporting automation initiatives within the validation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and validation of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Execute validation activities for process automation and control systems.
- Develop, review, and execute test cases, test plans, and validation documentation.
- Identify, analyze, and report defects while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Support automation of validation processes using test automation tools where applicable.
- Ensure validation activities comply with quality standards and project requirements.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in DCS testing and validation.
- Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Good understanding of control systems and process automation.
- Experience with any DCS platform such as Honeywell Experion PKS, Yokogawa CENTUM VP, Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800xA, Siemens PCS 7, or similar.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS.
- Exposure to test automation tools such as Python, Selenium, Playwright, or TestComplete.
- Experience in project implementation, FAT/SAT, or validation activities is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Chemical Engineering is preferred; Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines are also acceptable.
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on DCS knowledge.
- Experience in testing and validation rather than design or development.
- Candidates with DCS testing experience will be considered even if they do not have automation experience.
- Willingness to work from the Bangalore office in a hybrid work model.
