Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) specializing in bread production at the Chembur Central Kitchen in Mumbai. The DCDP will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread and pastries, working closely with the kitchen team to maintain consistency, taste, and quality. Daily tasks include managing inventory, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards, supervising junior staff, and collaborating with the Executive Chef to innovate and implement new recipes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bread preparation, baking, and handling specialized bread-making equipment
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with new bread and pastry recipes
- Organizational skills for managing inventory, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring operational efficiency in the kitchen
- Prior experience in a professional bakery or culinary environment; formal culinary training is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
