DAW Music Producer (CLOUDWALKER MUSIC)

This role sits downstream of our Music Concept Operator. That role generates reference tracks and structured Composer Briefs specifying mood, tempo, instrumentation, vocal style, and arrangement arc.
The DAW Producer receives that brief and builds the final, distributor-ready recording. Genre will vary across projects — the ability to execute a precise brief matters more than genre specialisation.
Role Summary
The DAW Music Producer is responsible for converting approved Composer Briefs into finished, master-quality audio recordings ready for distribution.
Creative direction comes entirely from the label. This is an execution-first role — the producer's job is accurate, high-quality delivery: on brief, on time, to spec.
What You Will Do
- Receive Composer Briefs specifying theme, mood, tempo, duration, instrument palette, vocal style, structure, and reference track
- Arrange and produce full tracks in a DAW — instrument layering, rhythm programming, melodic development, and texture
- Source and direct session vocalists or work with pre-recorded stems as required
- Mix each track to a professional standard appropriate to the genre and platform target
- Master to streaming loudness standards: −14 LUFS integrated, −1 dBTP true peak
- Deliver final files in required formats: WAV 24-bit/48kHz stereo master + MP3 320kbps for review
- Embed metadata at delivery: track title, composer credit, BPM, key, ISRC placeholder
- Flag ambiguities in the brief before production begins — not after
- Maintain clean, archived project files for every track — retrievable with stems
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
Production & Arrangement
· Proven ability to take a written brief and build a complete arrangement from it — intro, development, sustain, outro
· Understands dynamics, space, and texture — not just how to fill a mix, but when to leave room
· Can programme realistic-sounding MIDI instruments and blend them with live or sample-based elements
· Comfortable adapting to different genres based on brief direction — does not default to one signature style
Vocal Production
· Experience recording and editing vocal performances — pitch correction, timing, breath editing
· Can direct a vocalist remotely or in-session toward a specific emotional or tonal quality
· Understands the difference between vocal production for intimate, meditative, or high-energy tracks
Mixing
· Competent at EQ, compression, reverb, and spatial placement across a range of genres
· Can produce a clean, balanced mix that translates well across playback systems — earphones, speakers, mobile
· Understands mixing for streaming: loudness normalisation, avoiding over-compression, dynamic range
Mastering
· Can deliver a streaming-ready master: −14 LUFS integrated, −1 dBTP true peak
· Knows when a track needs a mastering engineer vs. when self-mastering is appropriate
· Familiar with platform-specific loudness normalisation behaviour (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music)
Brief Execution & File Discipline
· Reads and follows a detailed Composer Brief precisely
· Delivers correctly named, metadata-embedded files on time
· Maintains organised project archives with stems — every track recoverable
· Accepts structured feedback and revises efficiently
Software Knowledge :

· Prior work on catalog-scale projects - not just single tracks or album projects
· Knowledge of Dolby Atmos or spatial audio mixing (Apple Music Spatial Audio compatibility)
· Familiarity with JioSaavn / YouTube Music release metadata and audio standards
Experience & Compensation
· Experience: 2–4 years hands-on DAW production with a demonstrable portfolio
· Portfolio: Must provide 3–5 produced tracks across different moods or genres - showing range, not just one style
· Location: Mumbai — office-based preferred; remote considered for strong candidates
