About the role

Davidson Kempner Capital Management is seeking a Computer Vision Scientist to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced computer vision algorithms to support our investment strategies. This includes tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and visual pattern recognition. Key Responsibilities: - Research and develop novel computer vision algorithms to extract insights from various data sources, including satellite imagery, aerial photography, and other visual data - Build and optimize computer vision models using deep learning and other cutting-edge techniques - Integrate computer vision models into our investment workflows and data processing pipelines - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and investment professionals, to drive innovation and improve decision-making - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning, and identify opportunities to apply new techniques Requirements: - PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Extensive experience in computer vision, image processing, and deep learning - Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and other relevant libraries - Experience in developing and deploying computer vision models in production environments - Familiarity with financial markets and investment strategies is a plus - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
