Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Datastage Developer, located in Trivandrum. The Datastage Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and workflows. Daily tasks include data extraction from various sources, transformation according to business requirements, and data loading into target systems. Additional responsibilities include resolving issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives. Maintaining technical documentation and ensuring compliance with data standards will also be critical aspects of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Datastage tool, ETL design, and development
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database systems
- Proficiency in SQL, debugging, and troubleshooting technical issues
- Knowledge of system integration, data migration, and data quality processes
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams
- Experience with reporting solutions, business intelligence tools, and scripting languages
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Previous experience with Hadoop, Spark, or other big-data technologies is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
