Role Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced DataOps Lead to oversee the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of our enterprise data platforms.
- This role involves managing data pipelines, supporting production systems, and driving continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and data warehouse operations.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of production data platforms.
- Support ETL workflows, including Python pipelines, SQL processes, and Airflow orchestration.
- Work with AWS, Snowflake, BI tools, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Promote DataOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and proactive monitoring.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL guidelines.
- Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure stable operations.
- Conduct RCA and introduce long-term fixes for recurring issues.
- Provide leadership during major incidents and drive SLA-compliant resolutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data pipeline development and data warehouse management.
- Strong understanding of data lake/warehouse architecture and BI tools (Power BI / Streamlit).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience handling critical incidents.
- Hands-on experience with observability and alerting (preferably Datadog).
- Experience with Snowflake on AWS is highly desirable.
- Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work in shifts and provide weekend support.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, production-critical environment with a high sense of accountability
