We are seeking an experienced and highly-skilled IBM BPM/BAW Developer to join our core product development team. As a technical lead with 8+ years of experience, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing mission-critical business processes that form the backbone of our verification products. This role requires deep expertise in the IBM BPM/BAW platform, a strong architectural mindset, and the ability to drive technical best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development Leadership

  • Lead the full lifecycle development of complex business process management (BPM) solutions using IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) or IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).
  • Translate complex business requirements (related to verification, case management, and compliance workflows) into efficient, scalable, and reusable Business Process Definitions (BPDs), services, and coach views.
  • Act as a Technical Lead for BPM projects, mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality, security, and performance standards are met.
  • Design and implement robust integration services (REST/SOAP) to connect the BPM platform with core enterprise systems (databases, CRMs, proprietary verification engines, etc.).

System Optimization & Architecture

  • Provide Architectural Guidance for the BPM environment, including capacity planning, environment setup (Process Center, Process Server), and deployment strategies.
  • Optimize process performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, fine-tuning BPDs, and ensuring efficient database interactions.
  • Drive the adoption of BPM best practices, coding standards, and governance across the development team.
  • Implement advanced features such as Error Handling, Undercover Agents (UCAs), Event Schedulers, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within the processes.

Collaboration & Product Focus

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance teams to refine requirements and ensure the delivered solution aligns with product vision and business goals.
  • Manage the configuration and deployment of process applications across different environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production).
  • Provide Tier-3 production support and timely resolution of critical issues in live BPM applications.
  • Stay current with evolving IBM Automation tools (e.g., ODM, RPA) and evaluate their potential for enhancing DataFlow's product capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and deployment of solutions using IBM BPM (versions 8.x onwards) or IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW).

Deep Technical Proficiency

  • Expertise in developing BPDs/Processes, Human Services (Coaches/Coach Views), System Services, and Integration Services.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, REST, and SOAP for building complex integrations and client-side logic.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (Oracle/SQL Server/DB2) for querying and optimizing database interactions within BPM.
  • Solid understanding of BPMN 2.0 (Business Process Model and Notation) and workflow automation concepts.

Architectural & Leadership Skills

  • Proven experience as a technical lead overseeing a team and driving development standards.
  • Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting IBM BPM/BAW applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Preferred (Good To Have)

  • Experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) or other Business Rule Management Systems (BRMS).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes and cloud deployment patterns (relevant for modern BAW implementations).
  • IBM Certified Process Developer or similar certification.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
