Title: Databricks Solution Architect (Resident) | Bengaluru | Hybrid
Databricks Solution Architect | Bengaluru, Hybrid | 10+ Years | Immediate to 30 days joining
Have you built Databricks platforms that are running in production today? Have you moved a legacy data warehouse or Hadoop estate onto Databricks and tuned Spark jobs until they ran in minutes instead of hours? We want to talk to you.
We are hiring a hands-on Databricks Solution Architect to work directly with an enterprise software client in Bengaluru. You will design and deliver Lakehouse platforms, lead migrations onto Databricks and act as a trusted technical advisor to the client's engineering and business teams. This is a consulting role. You will build, tune and advise, not manage from a distance.
What you will do
- Design and deliver enterprise Data & AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform
- Lead migrations from legacy platforms (Hadoop, Teradata, Informatica, Snowflake, Synapse) to Databricks
- Build and optimise pipelines using Apache Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake and Lakeflow (Delta Live Tables, Workflows)
- Tune Spark workloads for performance, scalability and cost
- Set up governance with Unity Catalog and CI/CD with Databricks Asset Bundles, Terraform and Git
- Run architecture workshops and present solutions to technical and business leaders
- Mentor engineering teams and set delivery standards
What you need
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional (mandatory)
- 10+ years in technology, including 7+ years in data engineering or data platforms
- Hands-on delivery of at least 4 enterprise Databricks implementations in production
- Strong Spark internals: execution plans, partitioning, data skew, shuffle and memory tuning
- Working knowledge of two clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP) with deep expertise in one
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
- Up to date with newer Databricks features: Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, serverless, Databricks SQL, Mosaic AI
- Working knowledge of MLOps and CI/CD for production deployments
Good to have
- AWS, Azure or GCP certifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Location and joining
- Bengaluru, hybrid, 3 days a week at the client office
- Candidates willing to relocate to Bengaluru are welcome
- Immediate joiners or notice period of up to 30 days only
