About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Database Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to manage, optimize, and maintain databases for enterprise applications. The candidate will be responsible for database design, performance tuning, backup management, security implementation, and ensuring high availability of data systems.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SQL databases, troubleshooting skills, and experience working with development and application teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain database systems and structures.
· Manage SQL Server / PostgreSQL databases and ensure smooth operations.
· Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, Functions and stored procedures.
· Perform database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
· Ensure database security, integrity, and availability.
· Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
· Work closely with software developers for database integration and optimization.
· Create and maintain technical documentation for database architecture and processes.
· Implement database standards, policies, and best practices.
· Support ERP/MES/QMS or enterprise software applications from the database side.
· Monitor server health, storage utilization, and database growth.
. Assist in migration, upgrades, and deployment activities.
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL
· Expertise in: SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, Indexing
· Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
· Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
· Understanding of database security and user access management.
· Familiarity with ETL processes and data migration.
· Basic understanding of cloud databases is an advantage.
· Experience with reporting tools is preferred.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in: Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering Or related field
Preferred Experience
· Experience working with manufacturing ERP, MES, or enterprise software solutions.
· Knowledge of Payroll, production, inventory, or operational databases will be an added advantage.
· Exposure to API integration and application database connectivity preferred.
