Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
Database Administrator (DBA) to support enterprise data platforms and ensure the performance, security, reliability, and availability of critical database systems across cloud and on-premise environments.
The ideal candidate should have experience in
Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Azure-based data services, and enterprise database operations with strong troubleshooting, optimization, and production support capabilities.
Key Responsibilities - Perform end-to-end database administration activities across enterprise environments.
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor:
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- SQL Server
- Dremio
- Azure-based data platforms
- Optimize database performance through:
- Query tuning
- Indexing strategies
- Performance monitoring
- Capacity planning
- Manage backup, restore, recovery, cloning, and database refresh activities.
- Support patching, upgrades, and database configuration changes.
- Maintain operational documentation, architecture diagrams, and DR procedures.
- Support reporting platforms and batch processing systems.
- Collaborate with development teams for stored procedures, triggers, and database support activities.
- Support DevOps and Azure cloud migration initiatives including Azure Databricks.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, SOX/ICFR controls, and audit requirements.
- Participate in 24/7 production support and incident management activities.
- Generate operational KPI and performance reports.
- Support Dremio infrastructure and enterprise data platform operations.
Required Skills - 2+ years of experience in Database Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Oracle Database
- PostgreSQL
- SQL Server
- Good understanding of:
- Database performance tuning
- Backup & recovery
- High availability configurations
- Capacity planning
- Experience with Azure data services such as:
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Fabric
- Azure Databricks
- Knowledge of:
- ITIL processes
- Incident & change management
- SOX/ICFR compliance
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and deployment automation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Knowledge of Dremio and data lake acceleration platforms.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts.
- Experience supporting DevOps-driven data platform operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
