Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL. The candidate will be responsible for managing database systems, ensuring performance, security, and high availability of mission-critical applications.
Qualifications:- B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) / MCA or equivalent from a recognized university
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage PostgreSQL/MySQL databases
- Handle multiple database instances in standalone and clustered environments
- Perform database patching, replication, log shipping, and migrations
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning & optimization
- Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Manage database security, access control, and data integrity
- Develop database structures, schemas, and documentation
- Work with advanced features like partitioning
- Write and review SQL queries, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Manage deployment of database objects and maintain backups
- Provide technical support and mentoring to team members
- Collaborate with development teams on database design and optimization
- Analyze database and OS performance to improve system efficiency
Required Skills:- Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with clustering, replication, and HA/DR solutions
- Knowledge of database security and backup strategies
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
