Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Database Administrator role based in Nagpur. The Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems that support Oxybills’ digital platforms and applications. Daily tasks include monitoring database performance, implementing backup and recovery strategies, managing user access and security, and ensuring high availability and data integrity. The role involves designing and optimizing database schemas, troubleshooting issues, and supporting development teams with queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. The Database Administrator will also contribute to replication setups, capacity planning, and documentation of database standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and backup/recovery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and schema optimization to support scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and performance tuning to diagnose and resolve database issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess skills in Replication and high availability configurations to ensure continuity and data consistency.
- Experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., Azure SQL) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
- Understanding of database security, access control, encryption, and compliance best practices.
- Ability to collaborate with development and operations teams, with strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in B2B or enterprise software environments and exposure to .NET or cloud-based architectures is a plus.
