an engineering team working on a critical Learning Management System for a UK-based
University Group.
Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced Data Strategist to drive our company's data initiatives and
work closely on the Learning Management System project for the UK-based University Group.
In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and improving the data architecture and
integration across multiple platforms for executing and implementing comprehensive data
strategies that enhance our products, drive business growth, improve operational efficiency,
enhance customer experiences, and ensure data security. This role involves close
collaboration with senior leadership and various departments to ensure data-driven
decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategy & Architecture: Oversee and improve the data architecture and integration
across multiple platforms and execute company-wide data strategy aligned with
business goals.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements
and establish data governance and security frameworks.
• Analysis: Analyze large datasets using various tools to extract actionable insights
and provide strategic recommendations.
• Reporting: Create and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards to monitor
key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust data security measures and ensure
compliance with regulations.
• Product Development: Guide to teams in leveraging data for product development
and customer insights.
• Leadership Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior
leadership and stakeholders, collaborating with executives to drive data-informed
decision-making.
• Mentorship: Mentor and provide guidance to data analysts and other team members.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and
best practices in data strategy, analytics, and security.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics,
Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data strategy, architecture, or analytics with proven
experience as a Data Strategist, Data Scientist, or similar role in a fast-paced
environment.
• Strong knowledge of data analytics, data management, data governance, and data
security principles.
Technical Skills
• Languages: Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as
SQL, Python, R, and Excel.• Big Data: Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQLdatabases.
• Visualization: Expertise data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Warehousing: Strong understanding of data warehouse design and ETL processes.
• Cloud: Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Preferably AWS; Good to have:
Azure, Google Cloud).
Security & Governance
• Familiarity with data security standards and best practices, including encryption,
access controls, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR,
FERPA).
Key Skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex
data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in a related field.
• Experience in the education technology sector or SaaS industry is a plus.
• Certifications in data management or security (e.g., CDMP, CISSP).
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in data strategy.

requirements into technical solutions.
