Role Overview:
We are looking for a Data Specialist with a strong inclination toward web scraping and data extraction. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in collecting, processing, and analyzing data from various online sources, along with a solid foundation in APIs and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain web scraping scripts to extract data from multiple sources
Work with structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights
Integrate data from APIs and external platforms
Clean, process, and validate large datasets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
Monitor scraping performance and troubleshoot issues such as anti-bot mechanisms
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
Automate repetitive data collection and processing tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python
Familiarity with web scraping libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, and Requests
Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and OpenAI tools/APIs
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
Basic understanding of APIs and HTTP requests
Experience using tools like Postman for API testing
Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good to Have:
Experience handling dynamic websites and CAPTCHA bypass strategies
Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Understanding of data pipelines and automation workflows
