Role Description The Data Specialist will work on-site in Kolkata in a full-time capacity, supporting data-related needs across supply chain and operations functions. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources, maintaining databases and data repositories, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The role involves performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions, as well as preparing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal stakeholders. The Data Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, support ongoing projects, and contribute to process improvements through data modeling and analytical recommendations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Candidates should possess solid Data Management abilities, including data collection, cleaning, validation, and database maintenance.
- Candidates should possess sound Data Modeling skills to design and structure data for reporting, forecasting, and optimization.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and quantitative reasoning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL; exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage).
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
