Role Overview
The Lead Data Analyst will play a critical role in enhancing FP&A, analytics, reporting automation, and decision support capabilities for the Gas & Petrochemical BU Vertical. The position will lead the development and implementation of data-driven reporting solutions, including global backlog sales reporting, forecasting tools, and automated financial dashboards using Power BI and centralized data platforms.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI, data analytics, and reporting automation, with a passion for continuous improvement and business process optimization. Familiarity with financial concepts and terminology is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Backlog Reporting & Dashboard Development: Lead the development and automation of the Global Backlog Sales Dashboard by consolidating data across multiple ERP systems and delivering a standardized, Power BI-based reporting solution that provides a single source of truth for backlog visibility across all G&P sites.
- Forecasting & Performance Analytics: Support the deployment and ongoing enhancement of the Booking Forecast Tool (BFT), partnering with FP&A, Sales, and Operations teams to deliver accurate booking and sales forecasts, standardized forecasting methodologies, and actionable performance insights.
- Financial Reporting Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated dashboards and reporting solutions for Operating Performance Reviews (OPR), SG&A reporting, and other management reporting requirements, reducing manual effort and improving reporting efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Partnership: Work closely with FP&A, Sales, Operations, Project Management, Commercial Sales Operations and Data Engineering team to align requirements, standardize KPIs, and ensure successful delivery and adoption of reporting and forecasting solutions.
- Training & Capability Building: Provide training, documentation, and user support to finance and business teams, promoting adoption of Power BI dashboards and fostering self-service reporting and analytics capabilities across the Gas & Petrochemical Vertical.
- Automation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, reporting standardization, and business intelligence enhancements that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and decision-making across the G&P vertical.
Critical Competencies for Success
- Proven experience developing in Power BI including Power Query, DaX and report publishing
- Proven experience in advanced SQL, Power Apps
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
- Experience working in a complex and dynamic environment
- Drive to deliver

- Good written and spoken English
Desirable Competencies
- Experience working with financial data and reporting
- Background in manufacturing or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with Cognos Controller and Planning Analytics
