We are seeking an accomplished Executive Director to join the Finance Shared Services (FSS) organization within Finance, with responsibility for leading the FSS Data Services function in Mumbai.
In this role, the Executive Director will provide leadership for the team and oversee the Data Quality Controls (DQC) function, which is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data consumed across the Finance organization. The role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership and disciplined execution, with the ability to drive alignment across stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead a large team, set clear priorities, and ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes across all workstreams.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

What You'll Do In The Role
- Manage, attract, develop and retain talent within Finance while creating an inclusive environment
- Partner closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider Firm to deliver departmental objectives and strategic priorities
- Manage processes that require decision making and a strong understanding of stakeholder needs
- Work in close partnership with Technology and Operations to support new initiatives and ensure effective day‑to‑day BAU delivery
- Inform users / escalate critical data quality issues that may impact global calculations / reporting
- Encourage and guide teams to leverage strategic platforms, automation, and champion the use of AI to drive efficiency, scalability, and control enhancement
- Act as the senior interface for regulators, internal audit and external auditors on matters related to data governance and reporting controls
- Ensure adherence to the Firm’s risk management and regulatory standards, owning risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning for the business area
- Partner with cross-functional working groups responsible for resolving structural data issues impacting External Reporting
- Act as a role model and culture carrier, exemplifying the Firm’s values and holding yourself and your teams accountable to expected standards of conduct and performance
What You'll Bring To The Role
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire large teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture and providing constructive, actionable feedback
Ability to create a work environment that fosters trust, idea sharing, and inclusion among team members
Proven experience managing resource utilisation and delivery across multiple workstreams, leading complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives across divisions
Expertise in data governance, data quality, and controls, including familiarity with largescale data environments and cloud based platforms
Understanding of Finance functions, industry dynamics, key risks, and relevant regulatory frameworks, or experience delivering technology solutions for stakeholders within a banking environment.
Candidates with a Technology or Quantitative background are also encouraged to apply.
Strong risk and control mindset, with experience identifying, managing, and mitigating risks impacting the functional area

Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in banking, financial control, regulatory reporting or data governance.
- Deep understanding of capital, liquidity and financial regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of BCBS 239, enterprise data governance and regulatory reporting architectures.
- Proven experience leading large global teams and transformation programs.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
