Role Description This is a full-time, Remote Data Scientist role based in Bengaluru. The Data Scientist will work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to design and implement data models that support analytics and reporting for educational institutions. Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from multiple sources within the ERP platform, as well as building statistical models and algorithms to derive actionable insights. The role involves developing dashboards and visualizations to help stakeholders understand trends in admissions, attendance, performance, and fees, and communicating findings in a clear, structured manner. The Data Scientist will also contribute to experimentation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, with experience applying statistical methods to real-world business or product problems.
- Hands-on experience in Data Analysis and Data Analytics, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis.
- Proficiency in Data Visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms, as well as visualization libraries in Python or R.
- Solid programming skills in languages commonly used for data science (e.g., Python or R) and familiarity with SQL for querying relational databases.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data environments; knowledge of ETL concepts and basic data engineering practices is a plus.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the education or ERP domain is an advantage, along with an interest in improving decision-making and efficiency in educational institutions.
