Data Scientist

We are looking for talented Data Scientists to design and deploy scalable, data-driven solutions for K–12 education systems. This role involves working with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze large datasets, build predictive models, and deliver insights that improve student outcomes, teacher effectiveness, and resource utilization.
The ideal candidate is passionate about artificial intelligence and data science, with a strong drive to stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to solve real-world problems.
What you’ll do :
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging K 12 data to drive business solutions.
- Mine and analyze data from K12 districts’ databases to drive optimization and improvement of student performance ,teacher effectiveness, resource utilization, etc.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase above mentioned objectives
- Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
What we look for :
We’re looking for someone with 5-7 years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, has a Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field, and is familiar with the following software/tools:
- Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Proficient in programming and statistical languages (R, Python, SQL, C, C++, Java, JavaScript) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques (regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, text mining, social network analysis, simulation, scenario analysis).
- Experience with data architecture, distributed computing, and cloud platforms (Redshift, S3, Spark, Google BigQuery).
- Skilled in data visualization and presenting insights to stakeholders using tools such as Tableau, Periscope, and open-source visualization platforms.
- Experience analyzing data from third-party providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Driven to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
This is a role requiring candidates to combine technical knowledge and engineering skills with the ability to take on hard technical challenges.
