Role 2: Software Development Engineer (Palantir & Data Engineering) – Offshore
Experience: 4–8 years
Location: Offshore (India)
Core Responsibilities
Palantir Foundry Development
- Build ingestion pipelines, transformations, and workflows using Foundry Pipeline Builder and Python/SQL/PySpark transforms.
- Support ontology development including object creation, linking, and metadata updates.
- Monitor compute performance, debug Spark-based transforms, and optimize pipeline execution.
- Follow Foundry coding, versioning, review, and release practices.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Develop ingestion, cleaning, harmonization, and validation logic for production datasets.
- Work with structured and unstructured data, APIs, batch files, and external sources.
- Build transformations in Python, SQL, and PySpark for analytic and operational workloads.
Support for Data Ontology Systems
- Maintain enterprise ontology definitions, semantic object relationships, and event models.
- Support upkeep of reference datasets used across business domains.
Engineering Delivery
- Work in agile sprints delivering pipeline enhancements, ontology updates, and workflow improvements.
- Prepare documentation, unit tests, data checks, and provide support for run/operate functions.
Upskilling & Collaboration
- Participate in Foundry learning programs covering data integration, ontology editing, governance, and more.
- Collaborate with onsite FDEs for knowledge transfer and design guidance.
