About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled AI/ML professional to join our team as a Consultant or Senior Consultant. This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on impactful projects within the mortgage industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, fine-tuning, and deploying natural language processing (NLP) models tailored specifically for mortgage-related applications. The role involves comprehensive data analysis, model training—including instruction tuning and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF)—and algorithm optimization. Collaboration with domain experts is essential to ensure the models are aligned with industry needs, delivering accurate, relevant, and bias-mitigated solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative AI solutions that enhance decision-making processes and improve customer experiences within the mortgage sector.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. A Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, along with experience in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, is essential. Familiarity with NLP libraries such as Hugging Face Transformers is highly desirable. Candidates should have experience handling large datasets, performing feature engineering, and conducting statistical analyses. Additionally, a solid understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred for scalable model deployment. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a keen awareness of ethical considerations in AI development are also important qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and preprocess diverse datasets relevant to the mortgage industry, ensuring data quality and relevance for effective model training.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art NLP models, focusing on pre-training and instruction tuning of large language models tailored for mortgage-specific applications.
- Utilize reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) techniques to improve model alignment with human preferences and decision-making processes.
- Develop, optimize, and fine-tune machine learning algorithms to enhance model performance, accuracy, and computational efficiency.
- Collaborate with domain experts to integrate industry knowledge into model development, ensuring outputs are relevant, actionable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Conduct rigorous experimentation, validate hypotheses, analyze results, and iterate on models to achieve optimal performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, experiments, and results to promote transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and mitigate potential biases in data and models, adhering to ethical AI practices and ensuring responsible development and deployment of solutions.
