About The Role
As an eCommerce Data Analyst at Unotech Global, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into strategic insights that influence key business decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data analysis, strategic planning, and technological innovation. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity across various eCommerce platforms, developing comprehensive reports, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance sales performance, customer engagement, and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will lead critical projects, including CRM and marketing automation initiatives, and contribute to our company's AI strategies by actively participating in the AI Task Force. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, eager to explore emerging AI technologies, and committed to driving measurable business impact through analytics.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related fields, though equivalent hands-on experience is also highly valued. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data analysis within the eCommerce sector is required. Technical proficiency in analysis tools such as Python, SQL, and advanced Excel is essential, along with experience in data visualization platforms like Tableau or similar software. A solid understanding of data architecture, including data design, ETL processes, and database schemas, is necessary to effectively manage and interpret complex datasets.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong communication skills are required to present findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The candidate should demonstrate high attention to detail, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and a proactive approach to investigating how AI can enhance data initiatives. Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce, as well as experience with Google Analytics, is considered advantageous. Certifications in data analytics or digital marketing will be viewed favorably, and programming experience in Python or R is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all eCommerce systems. Document data flows between transactional and master data, establishing a single source of truth. Make recommendations for optimizing data input controls and flows, especially for critical master data like customer and product information.
- Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources including web analytics, sales records, and customer behavior metrics. Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators such as conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and average order value. Use these insights to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Customer Insights: Analyze customer data to identify behavior patterns and segment audiences. Develop insights that inform targeted marketing campaigns, personalization efforts, and customer retention strategies.
- A/B Testing: Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to optimize website user experience, marketing initiatives, and content performance.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends and competitor performance to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic planning.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling dashboards, visual reports, and presentations to communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders across departments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with eCommerce, marketing, and product teams to align data insights with business objectives. Facilitate cross-functional projects to ensure data-driven decision-making is integrated into daily operations.
