About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (SWE Bench – Data Engineer / Data Science) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on benchmark-driven evaluation projects that involve real-world data engineering and data science workflows. Your primary responsibility will be working with production-like datasets, designing and building robust data pipelines, and performing comprehensive data analysis to evaluate and enhance the performance of advanced AI systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and data science, with the ability to handle complex data preparation, analysis, and model-related tasks within real-world codebases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact AI evaluation projects, collaborate with researchers and engineers, and help shape the future of AI system benchmarking.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in roles such as Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on data workflows. Proficiency in Python is essential, especially for data processing, analysis, and scientific workflows. Candidates should have demonstrable experience working with both structured and unstructured data, along with a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data science principles. Experience in navigating and modifying complex, real-world codebases is required, as well as the ability to produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Strong problem-solving skills, particularly related to algorithmic or data-intensive challenges, are vital. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are also necessary to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support evaluation tasks aligned with SWE Bench standards.
- Design, develop, and validate scalable data pipelines used in benchmarking and evaluation workflows.
- Perform data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation activities for data science applications.
- Write, execute, and refine Python scripts to process data and support experimental workflows locally.
- Assess data quality, transformations, and output accuracy to ensure correctness and reproducibility.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows suitable for benchmarking scenarios.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of coding quality, clarity, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to design challenging, real-world data engineering and data science tasks for AI evaluation.
