About The Role
The Data Scientist – RM-MIS role at 360 ONE is a strategic position designed for a seasoned analytics professional to lead and innovate within the Relationship Management - Management Information System (RM-MIS) team. This role involves developing advanced analytical models, automating reporting processes, and creating scalable data-driven solutions that directly impact client service delivery and business growth. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data, technology, and client advisory, translating complex datasets into actionable insights that empower Relationship Managers and senior leadership to make informed decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including investment, technology, and business units is essential to align analytics initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background with 10-12 years of experience in data science, analytics, or MIS within financial services, wealth management, or fintech sectors. An MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institute combined with a strong quantitative undergraduate degree such as Engineering, Statistics, or Economics is preferred. Experience working with portfolio data, AUM metrics, and financial transactions is advantageous. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with big data ecosystems, will add value. Knowledge of NLP, AI applications, and data-driven investment strategies is desirable, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of modern analytics tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain comprehensive MIS dashboards and performance reports that capture key metrics such as AUM flows, revenue, RM productivity, and client activity. Develop granular client-level analytics to assess wallet share, asset allocation, product penetration, and engagement trends, enabling Relationship Managers to identify growth opportunities. Analyze historical transaction and portfolio data to uncover investment behavior patterns and product adoption cycles, supporting targeted client strategies. Standardize and track essential KPIs including AUM, revenue yield, SIP/STP flows, and metrics specific to high-net-worth clients, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. Enable AI-powered natural language querying within dashboards to facilitate self-service analytics and improve user engagement.
Lead the development of client segmentation and profiling models using clustering techniques to identify distinct client groups and tailor advisory approaches. Build recommendation engines for cross-selling and portfolio rebalancing, enhancing personalized client offerings. Create wallet share estimation models to identify untapped revenue potential and support strategic initiatives. Improve predictive models through advanced techniques such as ensemble learning, gradient boosting, and deep learning to enhance forecasting accuracy. Explore and integrate generative AI use cases, including automated MIS commentary and AI-generated portfolio summaries, to streamline reporting and provide richer insights.
Automate MIS reporting workflows to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of reports. Maintain high standards of data quality, governance, and consistency across datasets, enabling reliable analysis and decision-making. Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Business Heads, and Technology teams to deliver innovative data-driven solutions that address business challenges. Translate complex business problems into structured analytical frameworks and communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support strategic planning, business reviews, and leadership presentations through deep-dive analysis and data storytelling.
Define and execute the RM-MIS data strategy aligned with the organization's broader objectives. Partner with investment teams to generate quantitative insights and identify alpha opportunities, ensuring analytics directly contribute to business growth. Lead the deployment of analytical models into business systems in collaboration with technology teams, ensuring seamless integration and operationalization. Mentor and lead a team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
