About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (SWE Bench – Data Engineer / Data Science) to join our team in a role focused on benchmark-driven evaluation projects. This position involves working with real-world datasets, designing and implementing data pipelines, and performing data science tasks to assess and enhance the performance of advanced AI systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering and data science, with the ability to handle complex data workflows, perform analysis, and contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks that simulate real-world scenarios.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with researchers and engineers, contributing to the development of challenging data tasks that push the boundaries of AI system evaluation. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on data workflows. Proficiency in Python is essential, along with demonstrable experience in data processing, analysis, and model-related workflows. A solid understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals is required, coupled with experience working with both structured and unstructured data. The candidate should be capable of understanding, navigating, and modifying complex, real-world codebases and writing clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to algorithmic or data-intensive challenges, are critical. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are also necessary to collaborate effectively within the team.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support SWE Bench-style evaluation tasks, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Design, build, and validate data pipelines used in benchmarking and evaluation workflows, optimizing for performance and reliability.
- Perform data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation to support data science experiments and model evaluations.
- Write, execute, and refine Python scripts to process datasets and facilitate experiments in local environments.
- Evaluate data quality, transformations, and outputs to ensure correctness, reproducibility, and consistency across projects.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows tailored for benchmarking scenarios.
- Participate in code reviews, adhering to high standards of code quality, maintainability, and best practices.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design and implement challenging data engineering and data science tasks that simulate real-world AI applications.
