About The Role
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Software Engineers, specifically those with a background in data engineering and data science, to join our team in a bench role focused on evaluation projects. This position involves contributing to benchmark-driven assessments that simulate real-world data workflows, supporting the development, validation, and optimization of advanced AI systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data processing, analysis, and model-related workflows, with the ability to work effectively with complex datasets and production-like data pipelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging data-driven tasks that directly influence the performance and reliability of AI models in real-world applications.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support evaluation tasks aligned with SWE Bench standards.
- Design, develop, and validate scalable data pipelines used in benchmarking and evaluation workflows.
- Perform comprehensive data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation for diverse data science use cases.
- Write, run, and optimize Python scripts to process data, support experiments, and ensure reproducibility.
- Assess data quality, transformations, and output accuracy to maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows suitable for benchmarking and testing.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices in code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with research teams and engineers to design realistic, challenging data engineering and data science tasks for AI evaluation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data science, or software engineering with a focus on data workflows.
- Proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in data processing, analysis, and modeling tasks.
- Hands-on experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data science principles.
- Ability to navigate, understand, and modify complex, real-world codebases effectively.
- Proven track record of writing clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially related to algorithmic and data-intensive challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills in spoken and written English, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly.
