About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our vibrant team in Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in driving our AI initiatives forward by designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated deep learning models, particularly in computer vision applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, with hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks and cloud-based environments. As a Lead Data Scientist at RoundCircle, you will lead complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior members to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. A master's degree specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, or Computer Vision is highly desirable. Candidates must have 4 to 6 years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years dedicated to data science roles. Proven expertise in designing and deploying deep learning models, especially in computer vision tasks such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, and video analytics, is essential. Strong programming skills in Python, along with practical experience in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, are required. Familiarity with tools such as Databricks notebooks, MLflow, and Delta Lake for scalable machine learning workflows is preferred. Candidates should also possess experience with MLOps practices, including model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes. Knowledge of data preprocessing, augmentation, and handling large-scale image/video datasets is necessary. A solid understanding of computer vision algorithms, including CNNs, transfer learning, and transformer-based models like ViT, is expected. Exposure to NLP techniques is a plus.
Responsibilities
The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for leading the end-to-end development of advanced AI models tailored for computer vision applications. This includes conducting data analysis, preprocessing, and augmentation to prepare datasets for training. You will design and implement deep learning architectures, optimize model performance, and ensure scalability and robustness in deployment. Collaborating closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will also oversee model versioning, deployment pipelines, and continuous integration processes to maintain high-quality standards. Mentoring junior team members, sharing best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest research in AI and computer vision, integrating innovative techniques into our solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
