About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (SWE Bench – Data Engineer / Data Science) to join our team and contribute to benchmark-driven evaluation projects. This role focuses on real-world data engineering and data science workflows, involving hands-on work with production-like datasets, data pipelines, and analysis tasks. The primary goal is to evaluate and enhance the performance of advanced AI systems through meticulous data preparation, processing, and analysis.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering and data science, with the ability to work seamlessly across data workflows, model evaluation, and codebases. You will collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to design challenging data tasks that simulate real-world scenarios, ensuring that AI systems are rigorously tested and optimized for deployment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on data workflows.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, and workflow automation.
- Demonstrable experience with data processing, feature engineering, and model-related workflows.
- Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data science principles.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Ability to navigate, understand, and modify complex, real-world codebases.
- Proven ability to write clean, reusable, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to algorithms and data-intensive challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support evaluation tasks aligned with SWE Bench standards.
- Design, develop, and validate data pipelines used for benchmarking and evaluation workflows.
- Perform data processing, analysis, feature extraction, and validation to ensure data quality and reproducibility.
- Write, test, and modify Python scripts to process data and support experimental workflows locally.
- Assess data quality, transformations, and outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows suitable for benchmarking AI systems.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to design and implement challenging data tasks that mirror real-world scenarios for AI evaluation.
