About The Role
The Digital Excellence Centre (DEC) at Deloitte India is a hub for building cutting-edge digital products and platforms aimed at elevating customer experiences through innovative design thinking and advanced technology. As a Machine Learning Engineer within the DEC, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated AI solutions that address complex business challenges. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, UX designers, and product managers, to create intelligent applications capable of learning and adapting over time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that leverage the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, deep learning, and data science, contributing to Deloitte’s reputation as a pioneer in digital transformation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background, preferably with a graduation degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields. Prior experience in applying statistical modeling, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning techniques is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in processing large datasets, performing exploratory data analysis, and developing robust models. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java are required, along with experience in deploying AI solutions in production environments. Familiarity with generative AI and ethical technology practices will be considered advantageous. Effective communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment are also important qualifications for this role.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact applications of data analytics and machine learning to solve strategic business problems.
- Mine, analyze, and interpret medium to large datasets to extract actionable insights that drive business value for clients.
- Design, develop, and refine advanced statistical and machine learning models, ensuring their scalability and efficiency.
- Implement processes to evaluate, automate, and optimize model performance, including A/B testing and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, deploy, and iterate on data science solutions, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Build and execute rigorous experiments and A/B tests to validate model effectiveness and user engagement.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve data collection processes, ensuring data accuracy, legitimacy, and relevance.
- Stay updated with emerging AI trends and incorporate innovative techniques to enhance model capabilities.
- Document technical approaches and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
