About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in Chennai or Bangalore. This is a full-time, onsite role on a contractual basis, designed for professionals with a strong background in machine learning, AI, and data analytics. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced data models that drive strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineering, product management, and business units to translate complex data insights into actionable solutions. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, and MLflow, contributing to innovative projects that impact business growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-9 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and AI. A strong educational background in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields is preferred. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, along with experience in data manipulation and statistical analysis, is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, especially Azure, including Azure Databricks and Azure Machine Learning. Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality initiatives, and experience working with MLOps tools like MLflow is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are required to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models tailored to business needs. This includes working on data intelligence initiatives such as predictive analytics, data mining, and insights generation to support strategic decision-making. You will implement and uphold Master Data Governance frameworks to ensure data quality and integrity across projects. Developing and optimizing data pipelines and ML workflows using Azure Databricks will be a core part of your role. You will also build, train, evaluate, and deploy models utilizing Azure ML services, ensuring robust lifecycle management with tools like MLflow. Monitoring model performance and scalability, as well as maintaining reliability and accuracy, will be critical. Additionally, you will create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions will be an ongoing focus. You will also perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model tuning to enhance performance, ensuring that solutions are scalable and aligned with organizational goals.
