About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist with a specialized focus on Generative AI and Healthcare Analytics to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Bangalore and offers a hybrid or remote work model, providing flexibility to the right candidate. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead initiatives in developing advanced AI solutions tailored for healthcare and health insurance domains. Your expertise will help shape the AI strategy, oversee the development of innovative models, and ensure the deployment of scalable, responsible AI solutions aligned with business goals. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for professionals comfortable working within third-party payroll arrangements and eager to make a significant impact in healthcare analytics through AI innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, AI, and MLOps, with at least 3 years dedicated to healthcare or health insurance analytics. Strong domain expertise in health insurance is mandatory, along with hands-on experience implementing Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, HuggingFace, and large language models. Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark is essential. Candidates must demonstrate leadership experience in managing AI or data science teams and possess a solid understanding of cloud-native AI services on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience with Azure Data Factory, MLOps pipelines, and regulatory healthcare standards (like HL7 and FHIR) is also required. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists and AI Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Define and execute comprehensive AI/ML strategies aligned with the company's healthcare analytics objectives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology leaders to identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI models, including RAG pipelines and Agentic AI workflows.
- Work extensively with Generative AI frameworks such as GPT, Gemini, LLaMA, and tools like LangChain and HuggingFace to build state-of-the-art solutions.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, including model fairness, transparency, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Develop scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, utilizing services such as Azure ML, SageMaker, and Vertex AI.
- Build and maintain MLOps pipelines, implement model monitoring, drift detection, and containerization using Docker and MLflow.
- Integrate AI models with applications via REST APIs and SDKs, ensuring seamless deployment and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in healthcare data standards, NLP techniques, and deep learning architectures, applying these insights to ongoing projects.
