Role Description The Data Scientist role is a contract, on-site position based in New Delhi for experienced professionals with 9+ years of relevant experience. The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, performing advanced statistical analysis, and developing predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to support business decision-making. Daily activities include gathering and cleaning large datasets, building and validating machine learning models, and creating data-driven insights and reports for stakeholders. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into analytical problems, and present findings through clear visualizations and storytelling. The Data Scientist will also contribute to improving data processes, mentoring team members, and recommending tools and frameworks to enhance the organization’s analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Data Science and Statistics skills, including experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing.
- Candidates should possess solid Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets.
- Candidates should possess effective Data Visualization skills, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 9+ years of professional experience in data-focused roles, preferably in consulting, technology, or related domains.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Spark, Hadoop) is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
