We're looking for a Data Science Lead to build and own large-scale ML systems focused on real-time decisioning, pricing, and optimization. This role is highly hands-on and involves working on core intelligence systems rather than reporting or analytics.
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade ML models and systems.
- Work on pricing/recommendation / decisioning problems.
- Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle: Data Feature engineering, Modeling, Deployment, and Monitoring.
- Build and improve real-time data pipelines and inference systems.
- Drive experimentation (A/B testing, causal inference).
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
- Lead and mentor a small team of data scientists.
- Drive technical direction and best practices.
- Take ownership of high-impact problem areas.
Requirements
- Strong academic background from leading institutes (IITs, IISc, or equivalent).
- 5-10+ years of experience in product-driven environments.
- Experience working on high-scale, real-world ML problems.
- Background in companies known for strong engineering/data culture (e. g., global tech/product companies).
- Strong foundation in Machine Learning and Statistics.
- Experience with: Supervised and Unsupervised Learning.
- Experimentation / causal inference.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with large-scale data systems (e. g., Spark or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and system design mindset.
- Experience in: Dynamic pricing/ranking/recommendation systems, Reinforcement Learning, Graph-based or multi-agent systems.
