Position Overview

We are looking for a Data Science Intern who is eager to learn and work on real-world data problems at scale. In this role, you will support the data science team in analyzing datasets, building basic models, and generating insights that contribute to political campaigns and governance initiatives.

This is an ideal opportunity for students or recent graduates who want hands-on exposure to data science in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing structured and unstructured datasets
• Support data cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Help build and evaluate basic statistical or machine learning models
• Work with teams across Operations, Tech, and Research to understand data requirements
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for internal stakeholders
• Document processes, findings, and learnings from projects
• Stay updated with basic tools and techniques in data science

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Python or R (Pandas, NumPy preferred)
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus
• Understanding of basic statistics and introductory machine learning concepts
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
• Strong willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
