Role Description The Data Science Instructor will deliver structured, high-quality instruction in data science concepts and tools to learners at various skill levels. This full-time, on-site role in Hyderabad involves designing and delivering lectures, practical labs, and project-based sessions that align with SKILLIT ACADEMY’s outcome-focused curriculum. The instructor will create lesson plans, develop learning materials, and assess learner progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring learners, providing individualized feedback, guiding them through real-world data science projects, and preparing them for interviews and industry roles. The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to refine course content, integrating soft skills and employability-focused activities, and participating in community events, workshops, and continuous curriculum improvement.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Data Science Instructor to deliver engaging training in data science, machine learning, statistics, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed through hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and online training in data science and related technologies.
- Teach topics such as Python, SQL, statistics, machine learning, data visualization, and deep learning.
- Develop and update course content, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Guide students through practical exercises and real-world case studies.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor students on capstone projects and career preparation.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new tools and techniques into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with academic and technical teams to improve training quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib/Seaborn.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data preprocessing.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners with varying skill levels.
