We are offering current undergraduate students a one year placement to join our data and research team providing insights around seaborne trade, shipping markets and shipping industry trends including geopolitics and decarbonisation. You will gain experience in data handling, analytics, market research, and exposure to a global, evolving and fast-paced industry central to the world economy.
What you’ll be doing:
· Maintaining and developing our extensive database of shipping market statistics
· Working collaboratively with data and market specialists across our global network to provide up to date intelligence in a dynamic market
· Data sourcing and handling from an extensive range of providers, including information around shipping, trade, energy, and commodities
· Contributing to our market reporting and analysis
· Supporting projects enhancing data processing, quality and coverage
You’ll need to be:
· Currently enrolled at a UK university, in the second year of an undergraduate degree, and available for 13-month sandwich/placement year from July 2026
· Well organised with good communication and teamwork skills
· Able to work with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
· Self-motivated and proactive
· Good numerical skills; previously successful candidates have included those from a range of numerate degree courses, e.g. Economics, Maths, Sciences. This role does not require a Data Science background.

· Salary: £25,000 plus holiday and benefits (including free lunch in company canteen)
