About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Correction Engineer / Data Quality Specialist to join our client's Information Technology team. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of enterprise data across multiple platforms, primarily focusing on Netsuite ERP environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data validation, correction, and governance practices, with a strong understanding of various database technologies including Snowflake, CouchDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL. The position involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data governance units to identify data issues, analyze root causes, and implement preventative controls to ensure high data quality standards are upheld organization-wide.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record with 5-8 years of hands-on experience working extensively with NetSuite, including data correction, validation, and migration activities. Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data quality controls, and stewardship practices is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in data validation tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL, along with scripting languages like Python, C#, or JavaScript for automation purposes. Experience with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica, and familiarity with modern data platforms including Snowflake, DBT, and various relational and non-relational databases is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving abilities are critical for success in this role. A background in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, logistics, or supply chain management will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include performing hands-on data correction and validation activities within NetSuite and across other platforms such as Snowflake, CouchDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL. The candidate will investigate data discrepancies, anomalies, and integrity issues, engaging directly with business users to understand operational impacts. Conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and collaborating with the Data Governance team to establish standards, controls, and governance methodologies are key functions. The role also involves defining and supporting data quality rules, validation checks, and preventative measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, especially in sensitive sectors like healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
Additional responsibilities include documenting data issues, resolutions, and governance recommendations, as well as supporting the monitoring and reporting of data quality metrics. Ensuring cross-platform data consistency by partnering with IT, analytics, and integration teams is vital. The candidate will also be responsible for collecting and compiling data from various sources such as CSV files, APIs, external databases, and third-party vendors. Familiarity with data formats like CSV and JSON, along with integration methods, is necessary to facilitate seamless data management and correction activities.
