This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and quality of data across our global data ecosystem. As a key member of the team, you will leverage modern Agile and DevOps practices to design, develop, test, and deploy innovative IT systems and applications. Your work will directly impact the delivery of digital products and frameworks used by data engineers and business analysts worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong data engineering background, with expertise in building scalable data quality frameworks, libraries, and pipelines that support our enterprise data initiatives. To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software or Data Engineer with a focus on developing in Python, PySpark, and Databricks is essential. Familiarity with open-source libraries and tools for data quality, such as Great Expectations and Deequ, is highly desirable. Implementing comprehensive data quality metrics monitoring to ensure compliance with quality standards will be a key aspect of your role. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate open-source libraries, and integrate them into existing frameworks to enhance data quality. Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues promptly will be essential to maintain data integrity. You will also be responsible for documenting processes, data models, and system architecture to enable knowledge sharing and compliance. Throughout the software lifecycle—from development to deployment, upgrades, and eventual system replacement—you will ensure that solutions conform to established standards and incorporate modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps principles. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help sustain a robust, scalable, and reliable data ecosystem that supports P&G's global business needs.
