About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, with a strong command of Python, SQL, DBT, and ETL processes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across various systems. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to develop and implement data quality standards and best practices. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high data standards, enabling the organization to make informed decisions based on reliable data. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in data quality, data engineering, or a similar role is required. Proficiency in Python programming and SQL is essential, along with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining ETL pipelines. Familiarity with DBT for data transformation and strong understanding of data governance principles are also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience working in agile environments and knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
Responsibilities
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across multiple systems and platforms by implementing comprehensive data validation and quality checks. Develop, optimize, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to facilitate seamless data flow and transformation. Utilize DBT to perform data transformations, ensuring that data models are reliable and maintainable. Implement and monitor data quality validation rules to detect and resolve data discrepancies proactively. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to establish and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices. Participate in data governance initiatives to improve data stewardship and compliance. Continuously evaluate and enhance data quality processes to meet evolving organizational needs. Provide technical expertise and support in troubleshooting data issues and implementing corrective actions. Document data quality procedures and standards to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
