Role Summary
As the Data Operations Team Lead, your primary responsibility is to drive operational excellence, manage a high-performing team, and ensure the accurate documentation of complex concepts from clients and stakeholders. You will play a key role in identifying process gaps, implementing efficiency improvements, and owning the team's day-to-day production model. This role also involves coaching experienced team members into future leaders while working in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of data operations professionals.
- Coach senior team members into potential team leads or future managers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, goal-setting, and team engagement initiatives.
- Be a culture carrier and champion the organization’s values.
Operational Management
- Take full ownership of the team’s production model, ensuring delivery against SLAs.
- Ensure top-notch performance in daily operations with strong attention to detail.
- Coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional and remote teams.
Process Building & Optimization:
- Design, implement, and stabilize new data operations processes.
- Identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and lead initiatives for continuous process enhancement.
- Drive automation and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate with Data Automation Engineers and Data Scientists to complete end-to-end process pipelines, feedback, and reporting loops.
- Display strong change management and risk mitigation capabilities during execution.
Client & Project Management
- Independently handle large projects and client communications.
- Translate client needs into clear, organized deliverables.
- Navigate ambiguity with strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Strategic Contribution:
- Provide input into roadmap planning and resource allocation.
- Represent the team in leadership forums, sharing updates and advocating for operational needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- 6–7 years of experience in data-related operations, with 3–5 years of people management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong client-handling skills and experience with remote team coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strategic mindset, quick learner, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Strong project ownership with a knack for problem-solving and operational thinking.
